Project Description
The aim of this course is to introduce students to the diversity and complexity of contemporary Canadian environmental changes and challenges. The course takes an interdisciplinary approach, as demanded by environmental issues. It includes case analyses, illustrating and applying certain concepts by addressing ‘real world’ issues and situations. In working through these issues and cases, it is hoped that students gain an understanding not only of environmental processes, but of the relationship of scientific understanding to domains of policy and wider social action.
