Project Description
This course consists in a historical and systematic survey of a number of key philosophical questions relating to the existence of God, the possibility of knowledge of God’s existence, the problem of evil, the nature of religious experience, and so on. The point of the course is not to answer these questions definitively (very smart people have been asking them for thousands of years, and there is as little agreement as ever as to the answers), but rather to gain a sophisticated and multi-sided philosophical perspective on them.
