This course is a study of the Middle East in transition, conflict, and ideology in a global context of changing regional alliances. Topics include regional conflicts such as the Arab-Israeli conflict, the Iraq-Iran war, the Gulf crisis, foreign policy processes, and the end of the Cold War and its impact in the new millennium.
