Project Description

This training is designed for nurses involved in the preceptorship as they are called to accompany student nurse and nurse debutante in clinical settings. Specifically, this workshop is for nurses who hold, in advance, a knowledge of the basic principles of clinical supervision or preceptorship. It deals with three teaching-learning strategies that enable preceptors to accompany the student nurse or nurse debutante in the development of clinical reasoning. These are (1) questioning, (2) thinking aloud, and (3) reflective practice.
